Picture being surrounded by jumping salmon! With several runs of Sockeye, Coho and Humpy salmon every summer, Eshamy Bay lives up to its name - “Eshamy” means “place of great fishing!”
Fishing gear rental is available if you prefer to go fishing in Eshamy Lagoon on your own - you can be dropped off at the mouth of Eshamy Creek for some shore fishing. You can also kayak into the lagoon from the lodge for kayak fishing or shore fishing.

Fishing licenses are required for each angler. You can purchase these on-line at: http://www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license or you can purchase them at Eshamy Bay Lodge.
